Spelman offers a variety of funds that support a range of services and programs for patients and members of the Northland community.

Spelman Medical Fund

General fund to support current programs and priorities that benefit the Northland community through the Spelman Medical Fund.

Saint Luke's North Hospital Programs

Arch E. Spelman Scholarship Fund

Provides annual scholarships to Saint Luke's North employees working to advance in the health care field through higher education.

Smithville Campus Fund

Supports programs at Saint Luke's North Hospital's Smithville campus.

Community Programs

Breast Cancer Fund

Supports programs for breast cancer awareness, education, and screenings.

Free Mammo Fund

Helps provide free breast cancer screenings for uninsured and underinsured women.

Hospital Indigent Care

Provides support to those in the Northland who are less fortunate and most vulnerable, allowing them to receive proper health care.

Wayne and Shirley A. Elam Clinical Excellence Award

Provides annual recognition and award to a Saint Luke's North employee who exemplifies clinical excellence in their daily work.



Private donations and gifts to Saint Luke's North support current programs or initiatives including nursing continuing education, health screenings, and outreach programs in our community.

Proceeds from the new "Imagine…" event will advance health care in the Northland community through the purchase of Saint Luke's North Hospital's second 3-D mammography machine. The machine is part of its integrated breast health program with services at the Center for Women's Care located at the Barry Road campus.
