Foundation's new young friends group offers social, educational, and philanthropic opportunities

Who are friends@saintlukes?

The mission of this group of young professionals and civic volunteers is to support Saint Luke's Hospital and its related medical and community programs. Our committee chairs are:

Travis Holt
Carson Cates
Deston Rizzo

Are there meetings?

No meetings, just events! Our steering committee plans about four events each year that allow friends to learn about a different hospital program, as well as have the chance to socialize and network in a fun and casual setting. For example, last September our committee and guests got to go behind the scenes with a private hard hat tour of the New Saint Luke's, following by drinks, food, and socializing at Coal Vines restaurant.

How are donations spent?

Throughout the year, friends learn about different areas and programs supported by Saint Luke's that benefit our patients and the greater community—from inpatient programs like robotic surgery to outpatient programs like our Children's SPOT and community service clinics. In the fourth quarter, friends@saintlukes have the opportunity to review several options for directing the group's annual gift. By selecting one worthwhile project in need of funding each year, members of friends@saintlukes get to maximize the impact of their individual gifts to Saint Luke's and make a measureable difference in the lives of others.

We'd like to hear from you!
