Saint Luke’s Health System (SLHS) and Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center (SURHC) have completed negotiations on an agreement whereby SLHS has transferred the assets of Cabot Westside Medical and Dental Center, located at 2121 Summit St. in Kansas City, Missouri, to SURHC, effective Nov. 1, 2013.
SURHC is one of three Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in the Kansas City area. As such, it receives federal benefits and has access to federal funding to help it provide care and services to the uninsured and underinsured community. Following the transfer, Cabot falls under the umbrella of SURHC’s FQHC status.
Cabot is now "Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center - Cabot Westside." Staffing, services, and location remain the same with no gap in availability of medical or dental care.
