2012 Boo Ball
October 27 - 7 to 11 p.m.
Emaline Ballroom
616 SW 3rd Street
Lee's Summit, MO 64063
A Spooktacular Affair
As Saint Luke's East Hospital's major fundraiser of the year, the Boo Ball is a spooktacular affair supporting the Appearance Renewal Center located in the new patient services wing.
NBC Action News anchor Cynthia Newsome, a cancer survivor herself, will host the evening's activities, which will include highlights from Mrs. Kansas International 2012 as she shares her own passionate story as a breast cancer survivor.
Surprises and Disguises
On the night of the event, The Emaline Ballroom will transform into an enchanted scene full of surprises. Costume contests and prizes will test partygoers' imagination. Elaborately decorated masks will be available for those who prefer to wear a mask and party attire.
Magical Expressions
Local artists will craft imaginative interpretations of renewal in the face of adversity. These pieces will be part of an exciting silent auction, co-starring jewelry by Meierottos as well as ghoulish getaways and nights on the town. Performance artists will create interpretive pieces throughout the evening for live auction.

Benefiting the new Appearance Center
at Saint Luke’s East Hospital
An Appearance Renewal Center at Saint Luke’s East Hospital will provide cancer patients with specially designed products to ease their journey through treatment to recovery. It will be a respite from the challenges of treatment, designed to pamper survivors and preserve their dignity. This welcoming “boutique” will offer items such as wigs, hats, sunscreen clothing, skin-care products, breast prostheses, as well as comfortable private fitting rooms and the services of a certified prosthesis fitter.
The Appearance Center will open in Saint Luke’s East Hospital’s newly constructed patient services building at the north end of campus. The new patient services building will be the home for our expanded cancer services, including additional infusion space, radiation oncology, and an oncology clinic.
